MY STORY
After the birth of my first child I really saw the impact my mind and mental state had on my overall experience through pregnancy, birth and the months following.
Having spent extensive time with healthcare practitioners in the birthing community who confirmed my realizations, understanding and experience I was asked to share with a select few my findings. These findings form the foundation of this course.
I am excited and honoured to share these with you.
There is much focus on how you can prepare your body prior to and during pregnancy but what I found missing was the emphasis and focus on how you can prepare your mind.

COURSE CONTENTS
MODULE 1
DISCOVERING WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU
When you get really clear on what is important to you, making decisions becomes a lot easier. You preserve your time and energy for what matters most.
MODULE 2
IDENTIFY YOUR UNDERLYING NEEDS
Behind every unpleasant emotion is an unmet need. When we learn how to identify our needs in a given situation calm & balance returns and we live much more fulfilled lives.
MODULE 3
HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WHAT YOU NEED & IS IT WORKING FOR YOU
How easy is it for you to ask for what you need? Do you find it difficult to say “No” to what you don’t want and “Yes” to what you want? Do you find you often beat around the bush and hope that others “get it” and if they don’t, you are left feeling frustrated or deflated? If this is the case, learning effective ways to communicate will relieve anxiety and stress.
MODULE 4
WHAT TO DO WITH FEARS & OTHER EMOTIONS
Feelings can seem and be overwhelming. Left to their own devices they can wreak havoc. To have any hope of peace these feeling and emotions need space, attention and expression. In this module you will learn how to do this.
MODULE 5
HOW TO BE OK IN PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT
How do you react when you are sick or injured? We look at your history of physical discomfort to give context and scope. In this module you will learn techniques and tools on how you can support yourself mentally while feeling physical discomfort.
MODULE 6
HOW TO BUILD YOUR IDEAL HEALTH TEAM
In this module you will get to use all the skills you have learnt in the past 5 modules to help you create the ideal health team to support you up to and during birth.
